EKKA Yachts

EKKA Yachts was established in 1984 and operates from three offices located in Athens, Limassol and Mykonos. In 2011, the company launched its chartering department specializing initially in charter management of 15-20m crewed motor-yacht charters primarily on the Greek islands. The fleet of CA appointments has since then expanded to include six vessels in 2015, most of which are over 20 meters in overall length including boats such as M/Y DAY OFF, M/Y JULIE M, M/Y MILOS AT SEA. As the company has gained a reputation and clientele in the chartering business through its involvement in charter management, it has also gained traction in the field of retail chartering. The company also offers services in the fields of sales brokerage and new building, representing a number of prestigious yacht brands for Greece.

9th Mediterranean Yacht Show

Having emerged as the world’s largest crewed yacht charter show, MEDYS marked this year its 10th anniversary since its founding. Once again, it gathered the crème de la crème of yachts operating under Greek professional license, hundreds of industry professionals from around the world, and dozens of exhibitors with products and services related to yachting.

The 9th edition of the Show was held from April 27th to May 1st, 2024, at the port of Nafplion and once again highlighted the dynamics of Greek yachting, affirming its role as the spearhead of maritime tourism.

This year's Show set a record with 102 yachts with a cumulative LOA of 3.9 kilometers registered for participation within just a few days of registration opening, creating an extensive waiting list, while last minute charters prevented some of them from attending. The Show was visited by 760 industry professionals from 30 countries around the world. It is worth noting that only yachts measuring 24 meters and above in length have the right to participate in the Show, which is exclusively addressed to luxury yachting.

Yachting tourism attracts an increasing number of visitors to Greece and MEDYS is the perfect occasion to highlight the region as one of the top yachting destinations globally. The show owes its success to the large number of registered yachts, the great turn-out of industry professionals from all corners of the globe and the contribution of the local CAs. It is organized each year by GYA under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Tourism and with the kind support of the Municipality of Nafplion.
