GYA OPEN DAYS

Step into the world of Greek yachting excellence, with the premiere of the Greek Yachting Association's Open Days. Immersive, exciting, and bringing together a network of international and regional brokers, this event will take place from the 18th to the 21st of May in the marinas of the Athens Riviera. Following the success of the Virtual Charter Yacht Show, the Greek Yachting Association is delighted to present a new initiative, welcoming you back into the prestige of international yachting.

Each year, the Greek yachting industry grows stronger, attracting onlookers and admirers the world over. In 2019, the Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) showcased 102 yachts, bringing 450 international brokers from 31 different countries together in the port of Nafplion. 2021 will see a continuation of this legacy, away from screens and back to the docks. For the first time, we’re dropping anchor in Athens, bringing with us a curated collection of motor yachts, sailing yachts and motor sailers.

Browse and walk through our superb selection, connecting with brokers from Greece and overseas, and networking with key figures from the industry. With state of the art design, lavish interiors and world-class engineering, the Greek Yachting Association's fleet is a masterclass in contemporary maritime luxury.

In light of recent events, we’re taking every measure to secure safe and seamless Open Days. Admission is exclusive to charter brokers, and the wearing of masks is mandatory. Entry into yachts will be permitted upon presentation of a self-test made within 24 hours of your visit or on-site prior to boarding the vessels, or with rapid or PCR tests made 48-72 hours prior to arrival. The world is opening and so are we, and the Greek Yachting Association is proud to host another landmark event, continuing to connect the world to the Mediterranean.

The Open Days 2021 are bound to set new standards of yachting, connecting brokers around the world to the exciting future of our industry. We look forward to greeting you safely and soon to the marinas of Athens.

9th Mediterranean Yacht Show

Having emerged as the world’s largest crewed yacht charter show, MEDYS marked this year its 10th anniversary since its founding. Once again, it gathered the crème de la crème of yachts operating under Greek professional license, hundreds of industry professionals from around the world, and dozens of exhibitors with products and services related to yachting.

The 9th edition of the Show was held from April 27th to May 1st, 2024, at the port of Nafplion and once again highlighted the dynamics of Greek yachting, affirming its role as the spearhead of maritime tourism.

This year's Show set a record with 102 yachts with a cumulative LOA of 3.9 kilometers registered for participation within just a few days of registration opening, creating an extensive waiting list, while last minute charters prevented some of them from attending. The Show was visited by 760 industry professionals from 30 countries around the world. It is worth noting that only yachts measuring 24 meters and above in length have the right to participate in the Show, which is exclusively addressed to luxury yachting.

Yachting tourism attracts an increasing number of visitors to Greece and MEDYS is the perfect occasion to highlight the region as one of the top yachting destinations globally. The show owes its success to the large number of registered yachts, the great turn-out of industry professionals from all corners of the globe and the contribution of the local CAs. It is organized each year by GYA under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Tourism and with the kind support of the Municipality of Nafplion.
